Nanofiber facemasks from Hong Kong
Hong Kong′s TV reportage: Nano and Advanced Material Research Institute (NAMI) has developed a nanofiber facemask locally in Hong Kong. The idea came to Dr. Boris Tong of NAMI during the SARS epidemic in 2003, for a mask would completely filter out bacteria. The facemask can also filter PM2.5 effectively but much higher breathability when compared with other facemask on the market. This nanofiber facemask has been commercialised and they are even being sold in major polluted cities across China.
